The Royal Museum for Central Africa (RMCA) is a first-class centre for scientific research on Africa and one of the most visited museums in Belgium. It presents the African continent through permanent and temporary exhibitions that feature statues, masks and utilitarian objects, flora, fauna, and history. Scientific research is conducted in the fields of human and natural sciences, colonial and contemporary history, linguistics, archaeology, anthropology, musicology, biology and earth sciences. Various collections and databases are available online. The Museum organizes trainings and courses and offers guided tours, workshops and conferences. The renovation of the Museum building is the next challenge.
